Why was it shy to begin with
when it couldn't find a way to hide,
i knew it was growing inside
like a plant that needed no sunlight
only the ecstasy of your being...

blossoming into a heavenly delight
that extended past the outskirts of heaven,
divine in its own way-but determined to find a way
to explain what it meant
all it could say was I love you...

not sure if that was enough
in time it would feel more pure,
than any crystal lake,
yet more immortal than any wooden stake through the heart,
it would start to form a part of me...

that wants to be with you every waking moment,
even asleep,
in my dreams I could not break a tear,
knowing you were here,
my only fear is your leaving...

knowing I would be enslaved by your vanishing,
i would be wishing on every star,
for an eternity until your return.
